Frequently Asked Questions

What impact will it have on our power bill by switching to energy efficient windows?

Starting in 1992, with help from ENERGY STAR®, American businesses and families saved $297 billion on utility bills and prevented more than 2.1 billion metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions by 2013. Each Pella® product meets or exceeds ENERGY STAR certification in all 50 states and most of Canada. What does this mean for you? Not only could you see a drop in your heating and cooling bill, you will help protect the environment.

How much will my replacement door or replacement windows project cost?

Our windows and doors are specifically designed and custom-made for your home, meaning no two projects are identical. Our wide range of products make it hard to discuss pricing without first considering your needs, wants and the project results you envision. Due to this nature, we find it useful to send out a Pella sales representative who can give you a quoted project price once they have seen the project site itself. To expedite the quoting procedure, your Pella® sales representative is armed with a computer and a portable printer so that they can provide you with all the quote information you’ll need—once the sales representative has a chance to consider the requirements of the task and aligns them with your vision.

In addition to offering a broad range of high-quality products to pick from, we also have a generous offering of payment and finance options. Pella is uniquely-suited to offer you great window and door products at affordable prices, providing you with a chance to make the home improvements you want to while building great value into your Jackson area home while you do it.

What should I use to clean my glass windows?

We advise that you use a prepackaged vinegar-based cleaning solution or use an ammonia-free glass cleaner such as Windex or Sparkle. You can also make your own with one part vinegar to ten parts water. Apply the mix to a soft, clean microfiber cloth or paper towel. We do not recommend glass cleaners that are ammonia- or alcohol-based as they could produce streaks or create a film that magnetizes moisture and dust.

Do Pella® employees actually install your replacement windows and doors?

Pella uses contract installers who are certified to install Pella products. They must complete a thorough set of training courses so that your windows and doors are installed properly and meet Pella’s strict warranty guidelines. We seek out the best Jackson-local people and recruit them to install our projects. Before they can be hired, Pella requires them to pass a drug test and background check. Our installers are fully covered by liability and workers compensation insurance. Aside from Pella product warranties, your installation is also covered for 10 years under the installation limited warranty and service agreement.

What's different about buying replacement windows and doors from local Pella® showrooms versus buying from retailers like Lowe’s?

Pella provides services and support that “big box” stores can’t perform. Our staff is made up of professionals whose expertise is in selling, installing, and servicing Pella Windows & Doors. Having a dedicated Pella sales team, project manager, local service technicians, and expert installers means that you will have the knowledge of our whole team. We frequently use the term “single source accountability”, meaning that there’s no one to chase down regarding a product, installation, or warranty issue. If you have any concerns, simply contact our office or your sales representative and we will get to work resolving the issue.

Why is Pella® the right choice for my home?

There are several important reasons why Jackson homeowners select Pella for their replacement window and door needs. Founded in 1925, Pella is privately-held. Our success depends upon customer satisfaction, not stock prices. All of our high quality windows and doors are manufactured with attention to detail and serviced by Pella’s professional Direct Sales Network. Unlike other manufacturers who sell exclusively through third-party channels, Pella has dedicated replacement window and doors stores across the United States and Canada. This unique way of operating our business gives the homeowners in Jackson a convenient and personal experience with the help of a local to Jackson, Pella-certified team. Whether you are looking for the beauty of wood, the strength of fiberglass, or the low maintenance of vinyl—Pella has a superior quality, energy efficient and durable solution.
